Security and load-balancing

Protects the site against abuse and routes requests correctly. Contains no profile information.

Stored as: Cookie set by our hosting platform
Duration: Session or short-lived

Managing your choices

Because we only set strictly necessary and functional storage, there is no consent banner to accept or reject. You remain in control at all times:

Sign out of the research portal to clear the authentication session.
Clear site data in your browser settings to remove the language preference.
Block cookies for this domain entirely — public pages will still work, but the research portal will not be able to keep you signed in.

If that changes

If we ever introduce analytics or any non-essential cookie, we will update this page first and ask for your consent before setting it. We will not add tracking quietly.
