We use the minimum storage needed to run the site. That means a sign-in session for the research portal, a record of your chosen language, and platform-level security cookies.

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or third-party behavioural analytics. Nothing on this site builds a profile of you or follows you to other websites.

Managing your choices

Because we only set strictly necessary and functional storage, there is no consent banner to accept or reject. You remain in control at all times:

Sign out of the research portal to clear the authentication session.
Clear site data in your browser settings to remove the language preference.
Block cookies for this domain entirely — public pages will still work, but the research portal will not be able to keep you signed in.
Use your browser’s Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control setting. We honour it by default: we set no advertising or analytics storage for any visitor.

If that changes

If we ever introduce analytics or any non-essential cookie, we will update this page first and ask for your consent before setting it. We will not add tracking quietly.

Categories explained

Most organisations group browser storage into four categories. We use only the first two, and this page tells you plainly which of the others we do not use.

Strictly necessary Used on this site: Required for the site to function: keeping you signed in to the research portal, protecting against abuse, and routing requests. These cannot be switched off without breaking core functionality.
Functional Used on this site: Remembers preferences you have chosen, currently only your site language. Declining these simply means re-selecting your language on each visit.
Performance and analytics Not used: Measures how visitors use a site. We run no first- or third-party analytics, session replay, or heatmapping on this domain.
Advertising and targeting Not used: Builds profiles to serve or measure adverts across sites. We set none, and we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Third parties and external links

Pages on this site link to external resources such as LinkedIn profiles, publications and partner organisations. Once you follow one of those links, that site’s own cookie and privacy practices apply. We do not embed third-party advertising, social media pixels, or session-replay tools on any page.

If you sign in with Google, Google may set its own cookies on its own domains as part of authenticating you. We receive only the basic profile details needed to create your account — never your Google password.

Changes to this policy

Any updated cookie policy takes effect when posted, and the date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Where a change would introduce non-essential storage, we will ask for your consent before it takes effect.
