What we are investing in

Cytosomatic Labs is privately funded and research-only. The work below is where that capital is committed today — the neuroscience questions we have chosen to resource, the stage each one sits at, and what is actually being built. We are not soliciting funding, and we are not hiring at this time.

  4. 04Relevance

01 — Cohorts

Patient cohort profiling.

Understanding disease variation across real populations.

02 — Constructs

Neural construct validation.

Testing engineered neural systems for reliability.

03 — Protocols

Neurorestoration protocols.

Designing methods to protect and rebuild neural function.

04 — Relevance

Clinical relevance.

Keeping every study connected to future patient benefit.

CSL-R-01Assay developmentNeurodiagnostics

Neurodegenerative cohort profiling

We are funding high-dimensional neural and neuroimmune profiling of well-phenotyped neurodegenerative cohorts, building panel design, instrument time and analysis capacity in-house so patient state can be described at mechanism level rather than by symptom label.

High-dimensional profiling12 months

Where the investment goes

  • Multi-parameter cytometry and transcriptional panel development
  • Longitudinal sample handling and annotation infrastructure
  • Statistical stratification models validated across cohorts
CSL-R-02Discovery / preclinicalNeural cell therapy

Neural construct validation

Capital is directed at benchmarking delivery chemistries for neural cell-therapy constructs in primary human cells and neural co-cultures, with every comparative result recorded — favourable or not — as part of the internal validation record.

Delivery chemistry benchmarking6 months per cycle

Where the investment goes

  • Construct design and transduction efficiency studies
  • Vector-free delivery evaluation in donor-derived co-cultures
  • Engineered safety-switch and cytokine-release characterisation
CSL-R-03ExploratoryNeurorestoration

Neurorestoration protocol development

A milestone-structured investment into ex vivo expansion and differentiation protocols for depleted neural and supporting cell populations, measured by restored neural function rather than restored cell counts alone.

Functional recovery readouts18 months

Where the investment goes

  • Ex vivo expansion and differentiation protocol work
  • Functional recovery assay development
  • Durability and neuroinflammatory risk modelling
CSL-R-04OngoingResearch governance

Clinical relevance review

We invest in structured review of our own study designs and endpoints by practising neurologists, neuroimmunologists and neuroradiologists before bench time is committed, so resources go to questions that matter clinically.

Study design scrutinyQuarterly

Where the investment goes

  • Quarterly design and endpoint review cycles
  • Pre-registration of study designs before data collection
  • Orthogonal replication of every key result

How we allocate

Research questions get funded before they get promoted

Every programme above is documented before data collection begins, replicated with an orthogonal method, and retained whether the result is positive or null. Nothing on this page describes an approved therapy or a clinical service.
